There is no rent limit for new buildings.

The limit only applies in buildings approved up to 1945. In newer buildings the rent can usually be agreed freely. We can't take on such cases.

Not sure when your building was built? Then choose “I don't know”.

We don't take on council flats.

Council flats have their own rules. We don't finance such cases. In Vienna, the city's tenant help service (Mieterhilfe) can help you.

We don't take on cooperative flats.

Cooperative flats (Genossenschaft) and subsidised flats fall under a separate law with its own rent rules. We don't finance such cases.

The deadline has probably passed.

With open-ended contracts, you have three years from moving in. After that, the rent in the contract applies, even if it was too high.

Was your contract fixed-term at first and open-ended later? Then other deadlines apply. Call us: 01 34 80 30.

The deadline has probably passed.

With fixed-term contracts, a check is possible up to six months after moving out. After that it is usually too late.

Did you move in less than three years ago? Then it may still work. Call us: 01 34 80 30.

We don't take on flats over 130 m².

For very large, well-equipped flats, the rent can be agreed freely under certain conditions. That is why we don't finance such cases.

Is the flat smaller than you entered? Then change your answer. We answer questions at 01 34 80 30.
